"If it happens to you that you find a corpse in the mountains, just don't touch anything but take pictures of it as records of you presence there (they would become evidence, eventually), and advise the nearest police or military force.

By touching anything, you could well be altering or destroying evidence. Even a small flock of hair could be a key to determine what happened with the unfortunate person in front of you, so don't touch anything.

Calling the authorities as soon as possible is mandatory not only for legal reasons, but in order to allow them to work on the evidence itself.

Many corpses disappear under the snow, or on defrost, important evidence, such as flocks of hair, bloodstains, etc, may get washed away by water or wind. It could have been an accident, or a crime."
