Rhumb - A rhumb line is the projection of the course followed by a ship or aircraft that crosses each meridian at the same angle. If projected continuously, the resulting shape is that of a spiral, known as a loxodrome, also known as a loxodromic curve. The only cartographic projection that shows al rhumbs as straight lines is the Mercator.
