Tunguska - The Tunguska event took place in June 30, 1908, in the region of the same name. Apparently it was a 12 megaton explosion that destroyed an enormous surface of the local taiga. Evidence points to a meteor that created an airburst as it disintegrated on the upper troposphere; that explosion incinerated everything in a 20k radius from what could truly be defined as ground zero. The event was first studied by L.A. Kulik.
