Msiri - Msiri (1830-1891) was the founder of the Garanganze (Yeke) kingdom, locate din today's Katanga, I the Democratic Republic of Congo. Thanks to his control over the ivory trade in central Africa, he developed a significant military force but was overrun by the expedition of Grant Stairs that had even more sophisticated weaponry; Bodson, one of Grant Stair's officers killed Msir and then had his head exposed in a spike. According to a local legend, every single person that once held Msiri's head died tragically.
