Klein, Oskar - Oskar Klein (1894-1977) was a theoretical physicist born in Sweden. He won the Max Plank medal and was instrumental in the completion of Kaluza's proposals related to the existence of a fifth dimension that unified electromagnetic and gravitational forces according to Einstein's general relativity theory. Kaluza found that mathematically, both forces could be unified as one in a hypothetical fifth dimension. Klein corrected a few mistakes in Kaluza's original idea and gave the whole mathematical concept a physical demonstration. Hence, Klein demonstrated the physical existence of hyperspace and founded the basis of the M theory.
