CTC - Short for 'Closed Time-like Curves'; these allow an observer in theoretic physics to travel thorough time provided that he or she follows a trajectory along these curves in space time. While locally, for the observer – displacement thorough time would be linear and moving forward, globally, in spacetime the movement would lead ultimately to the departure position, much like displacement along Earth's meridians would ultimately bring the observer to the departure point. However, since a CTC trajectory would make the observer thorough space and time, this means that before returning to the departure point, the observer will pass thorough different points in space and time that are prior to the departure.
